This is Philip Davidson, the author of The Tipton Saga. Listening to this I sounded terrible. I can reveal I have cancer, and was quite frail, mumbling, all those things that sound ghastly in an interview. However I do encourage you to read this book. It is a fun book, easy to read, and is informative too about English history and how the machine world evolved. The second book has a descendant of scientist Figgis appear with a network of secret robot armies and is serving George 111 who comes back to earth with his great plan. The aliens are not quite as you may think. In fact in a rather spooky way you may be more familiar with them than you realise.
